Without going into great detail...these expired credits can result in a higher tax liability. Your tax preparer will be happy to explain these expired credits during your appointment. It’s distressing to have an expectation of a refund or lessor tax liability. I’ve had friends who STILL use other Tax Agency’s contact me with concerns that their returns are incorrect due to the differences between last years numbers and this years numbers. First of all, WHY are not still going to these OTHER places? You are cheating yourself of the most professional tax services in Oklahoma City , Metro. Second, If your preparer does not have the education to explain WHAT is different this year vs last year....( and you're not just refusing to hear bad news) then you need a new Agency.

A reminder, I don’t do taxes and I have NO ACCESS to the tax program. I don’t mind the calls from my friends, because I LOVE you. The real brains are sitting at the desk in our office. There is literally no room there for me to hang out and pretend that I work there. They are all THERE for you.

On a personal note...If I can bring in just 100 new customers from my friends I might get a special vacation! So what do you say? I can’t change the expired tax credits, or the fact that you will pay taxes on your unemployment this year....but our staff will give you excellent services and answers.

The “blog” is an excellent tool for small business owners. Think about the advertising budgets the larger tax franchises employ for television, internet and print adds. My goal with this blog is to say, take the time to LIKE, COMMENT and SHARE small business’s social media efforts. Not because they cant afford the T.V. and pay per click options....but because they have chosen to operate on referrals from satisfied customers rather then charge you 2 and 3 times the amount reasonable for the job.

We’ve had offers from those chains to purchase our business with options to stay and make more profit than we do now. For some reason, we LOVE our customers and the way we do business. It would be impossible to let a big corporation tell us where, when, what and how to do something. Yes, sometimes we charge and extra $20 to someone who is a royal pain in the ass and then again, there’s that widow who’s lost her husband who just needs someone to talk to that we each take turns talking to and charge nothing.

Having a Tax Service can be frustrating. Oh...the stories we could tell. But we would never. People take their frustrations out on my husband, my kids (adults now), and various other family members and friends who work for us...and yet...we LOOK FORWARD to seeing the majority of our customers year after year.
